This year, the Fourth of July holiday falls on a Sunday, giving us all even more of a reason to celebrate the holiday over a long weekend. As many of us South Floridians have already begun experiencing, we are in for a hot summer and there is no better way to kick off these months by cooling down with a pool party. Here we share some of our favorite entertaining tips to ensure you and your guests have an enjoyable time.
Let’s start with the practical. Our favorite is the sun supplies station. It’s important your Fourth of July guests remain hydrated and UV-protected. Keep outdoor essentials nearby with a supply station stylishly stocked with sunblock and ice-cold water. You can get creative and decorate this area up as much as you want. Throw in red, white and blue to keep with the patriotic theme. This station is something that every guest can use (and definitely will appreciate). In addition to these items, we recommend that you always have extra towels on hand.
When it comes to decorations, you can go any direction you’d like. Aside from your typical stars and stripes, you can introduce red, white and blue through different aspects of the party. As you are hosting a group at your pool, we always recommend getting shatterproof dishware and stay away from glass. No one wants to end the party early because glass broke in the swimming pool.
Most importantly, we hope you and your loved ones stay safe and enjoy the holiday weekend!
