This year, the Fourth of July holiday falls on a Saturday, giving us all even more of a reason to celebrate the holiday. As many of us South Floridians have already begun experiencing, we are in for a hot summer and there is no better way to kick off these months by cooling down with a pool party. Now is the time to get ready for a backyard pool party this Fourth of July and here are some of our favorite tips to ensure you and your guests have an enjoyable time.

We cannot emphasize enough about ensuring you and your guests are comfortable during the intense heat and there are a few things you may forget while having fun. With the harsh summer heat and intense rays of the sun in full effect, it’s important your Fourth of July guests remain hydrated and UV-protected. Set up a sun supplies station for guests to use throughout the party. Keep outdoor essentials nearby with a supply station stylishly stocked with rolled towels, sunblock and ice-cold water. You can get creative and dress this area up as much as you want. This station is something that every guest can use (and definitely will appreciate).

Keeping along with the holiday theme, adding red, white and blue throughout your backyard can add an extra layer of fun. Gather some of your favorite decorations, patriotic games, include a fun themed cocktail and some of your favorite foods. Most importantly, make sure to take some time and enjoy the holiday with your loved ones! Happy Fourth of July from our family to yours.
