At Treasure Pools, our team works hard to stay updated with the latest trends and designs for all of our clients. As we wrap up 2024 and head into 2025, we go over quite a few ideas for what designs we are seeing in South Florida homes. A lot of these trends are transitioning from the previous years, just better than ever!
Sun Deck – Having a sun deck is enjoyable for all ages, and even for pets. The area typically sits in 6-8” under the water and allow for plenty of other enjoyable possibilities. Many homeowners add in locations for chaise lounges or chairs, an umbrella, or even water features. Having a sun deck makes it easy for tiny swimmers to enjoy the pool and also is an enjoyable area for adults year-round. As the area is way more shallow than the rest of your pool, it’s a nice way to cool off without needing to commit to completely submerging yourself in the pool.
Technology – Technology is becoming more ingrained in our daily lives. Smart homes, TVs, cars, etc. are all examples of how technology has made things in our lives easier and often times simplified. Swimming pools have evolved, along with the accompanying technology. A lot of swimming pool equipment now even comes automated, which helps keep your pool in great condition without having to worry about it. One of the biggest dilemmas many homeowners had originally faced was the headache that went into maintaining a pool. Some features even allow your pool to self-clean. Pool pumps are now almost always being installed to be energy efficient. They are definitely worth the investment over time, and the lower wattage will also lower your electricity bill.
Spa addition – Another option is an attached raised spa that is elevated above the pool. The elevation is most commonly anywhere from 12 and 18 inches. Typically, this type of spa becomes a focal point and is usually finished with various materials such as stone or tile. Some homeowners may also go a different route by using faux rocks or boulders to amplify the design. We are also seeing flushed pool/spa combinations. This is exactly as it sounds – when the spa is flushed with the pool. Unlike an integrated spa, the pool and spa appear as separate entities. The shape and size can vary.
These are just a few ideas that have stuck around for some time, but how our team designs them continuously progresses. Stop by our showroom today to learn more about what design is best for you.
