Design is an aspect of building or remodeling your swimming pool no matter which way you look at it. Each homeowner is unique and therefore so should their design. There also is a bigger picture with ensuring that the backyard area matches up nicely with one’s home. Options are endless in your design process and can include various elements such as an outdoor kitchen, custom mosaics, hot tub or spa, a new deck or some landscaping. One way that all these components tie together is through a seamless color scheme. Generally speaking, color schemes reflect homeowner’s personalities and Craig Cohen, owner of Treasure Pools, is here to ensure that you get exactly what you want.

Finding the right color palette can be tough, but it shouldn’t be a deal breaker as long as you have the right tools to visualize your backyard after the additions or renovations before it even happens. At Treasure Pools, clients are able to do so with a custom-made 3D drawing showcasing what your backyard will look and even feel like before it’s completed. Here are a few color scheme ideas that might help trigger some creativity!

  • Adding hints of red and orange: This is extremely popular in the sunshine state! Enjoy whatever neutral base color you like, but spruce things up with punches of a red or orange throughout. This pop of color can be truly  captivating by utilizing an accent wall in a vivid shade of tomato red. Against the cool blue of the pool, it’s design perfection!
  • Take a cue from nature: Blue and green are always great colors to tie into your design, but really make things pop with shades of lime green or turquoise. Accessorize not only through your design, but add in planters or outdoor dish-ware for that extra special effect.
  • Stripes: We love the clean and simple look that stripes can add to a design. Although this is not a ‘color’ per se, it is still an area of design that you can consider when discussing your color scheme. This can be done through  cushions, tiles, awnings or umbrellas. With this design, you have the freedom to play around a little with colors that spark your interest. Use a calming peach or more dramatic black and white, both of which will play off the     aqua shade of your swimming pool extremely beautifully.
