Memorial Day is this weekend and it is such a great holiday for family and friends to gather outdoors while having that extra day to recharge. This weekend, we celebrate and honor the history of our country and the struggle that we have been through.
There are so many possibilities when it comes to entertaining, but nothing beats a fun pool party with a BBQ for these long weekends in our book. We hope that all our homeowners with a Treasure Pools swimming pool are able to really enjoy their backyard while creating new memories.
Bring the best Memorial Day celebration to your house by inviting over your family and friends for a day full of fun. Here are a few suggestions to ensure that you and your guests really enjoy the holiday! One thing we always encourage for a great pool party is by having food and beverages for your guests to enjoy. See who are plan to invite and what type of party you are looking to host and plan from there. You can choose to do finger foods and snacks or go all out with a BBQ. A BBQ is even better for those that have their own outdoor kitchen! This makes throwing a BBQ pool party completely seamless, this weekend or anytime. For the 21+ crowd, there is nothing like having a refreshing cocktail or cold beer while hanging out and relaxing at the pool. Another fun way to engage guests is by having a potluck. With this, guests can choose what they want to bring giving you a larger variety with an option for everyone. Additionally, we always love to have fun games that get everyone involved. Some of our favorite games include pool volleyball or football, horseshoes or even fun board games. If there are children attending, then it is always great to have some pool toys for them to enjoy. When children are swimming, just a reminder to always have an adult supervising.
Most importantly, we urge our friends and family to not forget the meaning of the holiday. “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter the words, but to live by them.” – John F. Kennedy. What are some of your favorite things to do to celebrate Memorial day?
From our family to yours, have a great Memorial Day!
